Crocheting a blanket timeframes

So I am currently crocheting an adult blanket. I have crochet a child’s blanket before but this one is just that much bigger.

To be honest, I once worked out it takes me thirty minutes to crochet one row of this adult’s blanket. Now, I spend thirty minutes and get disappointed it is only one row. And because I am spending less time crocheting, I am finding this a slow slog in getting this blanket even near halfway.

I started a video to show each week’s progress and from week 4 onwards I just haven’t really achieved much.

Have you experienced this feeling before? And just feeling de-motivated in finishing? I really want this blanket and I want to make a few more so I have to get motivated.

In saying that, one of my friend’s is having a baby. So I thought I would crochet this baby blanket at places where I can take a small crochet project such as the train.

So now I have two crochet projects at once. I am curious to know if people tend to have more than one project at once and do you eventually finish your projects?

I haven’t crocheted a baby blanket before, so I’m hoping it’s long enough. I just took a guess.
