  So I am currently crocheting a blanket and I just had this desire to go back and make some cute crocheting objects, while also crocheting the blanket.  These are all paid for designs. The ice cream my friend bought me the kit from Kmart. I also bought the gingerbread kit from Kmart. And the Christmas Gnome I used a paid pattern from Etsy.  I know I am just a beginner but I think they all turned out super cute. Please note, I do use a 5mm crochet hook, which makes all of my creations larger than the pattern and I don’t mind at all!  Now I have done these, I am ready to go back to crocheting my blanket for now because I am hoping to get it done by Christmas.  But it was definitely fun.  What is your favourite crochet creation? In addition, it just takes away all the stress from the week as you relax into the rhythm of your craft making, whatever that may be.  Step one in creating a craft day Choose a day that will be the same day each week that you will devote to craft. You want to set the same day each week so you know in your mind, if you hadn’t been able to craft during the week that you have a whole day set aside just for craft.  Step two in creating a craft day Allocate either a half day or a full day. Time is precious and we have so much in our lives to do and prepare, sometimes a full day is not something time will allow. So make your craft day a half day and don’t stress that it’s not a full day.  Step three in creating a craft day Doing something for yourself feels amazing but also can make you feel guilty that you aren’t prioritising everything else that needs doing. You will see on my YouTube hobbies channel, that I create scrapbooks from an art book and cover the whole page in scrapbooking. What you do not see is I also have a photo scrapbook of my family's photo collection. This is slightly different, because I use less materials because the A4 page is filled with two 6 x4 inch photos, what space is left is limited. It doesn't mean I use less stickers or tape, but it does mean I use less scrapbooking paper to fill the page.  These are just two scrapbooking style's I use. Both for my creative self, but the scrapbook art page is purely creativity and the photo scrapbook is for memories. Which do you prefer to do? I have crochet a child’s blanket before but this one is just that much bigger.  To be honest, I once worked out it takes me thirty minutes to crochet one row of this adult’s blanket. Now, I spend thirty minutes and get disappointed it is only one row. And because I am spending less time crocheting, I am finding this a slow slog in getting this blanket even near halfway.  I started a video to show each week’s progress and from week 4 onwards I just haven’t really achieved much.  Have you experienced this feeling before?
