Finally a sticker storage box that works!

What does it feel like to have a messy sticker storage box?

So my stickers storage makes me nervous. Honestly, I have a box filled with stickers. Whenever I use my stickers I pull out the entire box and sort of feel overwhelmed about where to start. What stickers should I use? They are just all everywhere. I literally have so many packets (well a box full).

I have this idea in my head. What if I create a box and have compartments and put themed stickers in each section together. To be honest, I didn't even know if this would work. But I had to try. I also didn't want to buy a plastic compartment box, because I just feel with the size of my sticker packets it might not work and I would need more than one plastic compartment box.

Here is a photo of my box of stickers, untouched:

Different types of cardboard boxes to use

I did have a box already but the cardboard was thinner and I didn't think the sections of cardboard that I was going to create would work because of the thinness of the main box. So I used an Amazon box that was filled with books and chopped it down to half the size. Because I need this box of stickers to fit into my drawer. Another reason, I can't have multiple compartments because I have no storage to put the compartments in. I also realised, how much stickers I actually have.

I then cut out the cardboard partition's that I would be using for each insert of the box.

Decorating my new sticker storage box

I had to make the box look pretty. So I used floral thick scrapbooking paper. I nearly used the entire scrapbook floral collection. Because I folded the scrapbooking paper over the box and taped it down. And then once I had cut all the other pieces, I also decorated them with scrapbooking paper and taped it down. I definitely recommend taping down paper to cardboard, rather than gluing it.

And this is how it looks (below). I did wonder how I was going to attach each cardboard insert pieces into the box, but with the sized cuts, it all just fit into the box perfectly. So I was thinking of blue tacking or using double sided tape for the bottoms and sides of the insert pieces, but honestly, I don't think that would work. So just cutting a puzzle like pieces and getting it to fit well, definitely helped.

Adding the stickers to the new sticker storage box

Plus, once I had the stickers. The cardboard inserts definitely stayed up even stronger. I did make themes for each of the sections of stickers. From sticker quotes, to unicorns (my favourite) to sport stickers (for my kids) and Disney stickers as well as Christmas stickers (and the list goes on). It was fun to finally create a sticker box that didn't seem overwhelming. Now, instead of just shoveling through the lot of stickers to find a theme, I can literally look at the top sticker from each insert and choose the theme I want to start with. I definitely feel more relaxed and happy with my sticker box.

I also kept my stickers in their plastic sleeves. Because I just feel it's easier, if I want a type-writer sticker for example, or Winnie the Pooh stickers, that they altogether so I can choose the one sticker I want to use.

Reshuffling my craft space for scrapbooking

When you feel uninspired change up your craft space  So I haven’t been scrapbooking as much because I have a set of drawers with stickers, washi tape and other cool stationery and then I have my tub of scrapbooking paper in my cupboard.  I was thinking about what I could do to bring my scrapbooking closer. Here’s a photo of my tub of scrapbooking paper. Look how undesirable it looks. Inside I have large paper about A4 size and A3. Then I have 12x12 inch paper. Plus an ice cream tub full of scrap paper.  It just made me feel unsatisfied and what makes me excited to work on a hobby is that I can see the resources and get excited to get started. But this set-up was not empowering me. I started brainstorming about maybe making a craft space. I found a table from IKEA with draws on both sides that I could put my scrapbooking paper and accessories in as well as my diamond painting. I also found a desk backing which is like a three level high shelving that attaches to the table....

Crocheting my first blanket and how you can to

Finding a relaxing crochet project for beginners So I decided that crocheting animals etc. is pretty stressful. Not really stressful but not relaxing. A cool end result but I wanted to find something to crochet where I didn’t have to count the stitches or focus on the different type of stitches. So I decided to crochet a simple blanket.  I just wanted to use a small amount of stitches and not count them. I didn’t want to do anything fancy. But I still wanted to crochet. I believe if I could find something to stitch that I could just relax doing it than it was worth it. I started googling a simply blanket planet using single crochet stitch. It’s simple start off with the first row with a chain stitch and then turn it over and do the rest with a single crochet stitch. Brilliant.  Why single crochet blankets don't work without a chain stitch So I started crocheting a baby blanket. It didn’t work out. The sides were uneven and the blanket was all different lengths. So I googled an...
