The different types of diamond painting projects you can start today

The cool thing about diamond painting is you can literally start with smaller diamond painting projects or you can start big and not just do a diamond painting kit but do a super large diamond painting kit. This blog post is going to help you find different ways to diamond paint.

So personally, I have only ever completed diamond painting kits.

What is a diamond painting kit?

Well, you choose a picture you want to diamond painting kit, order it and you receive the drills (diamonds) the canvas of the picture, a diamond painting pen, wax and a tray. Sometimes you might receive a few other things in kits but this generally sums it up.

The diamond painting kits tend to start at 20x20cm and can go up quite large. My large Suzume diamond painting was the size of a full table. So you can go quite big in size. I will say I did about half of the diamond painting over a year but I was desperate to just do my smaller 30x40cm diamond paintings on canvas so I ended up chucking it.

I kept all the left over drills though! And if you are wondering what to do with your left over drills, check out my blog post on it here.

So what else can you diamond paint?

You can diamond painting coasters.

Personally, I love coasters so I am going to try this down the track. I also like the idea the I can showcase my diamond painted coasters in my home. I do love coasters so I will be trying this den the track.

You can diamond paint magnets to put on your fridge.

I have only just got into fridge magnets. So why not diamond paint your own fridge magnets? I love the sparkle the drills (diamonds) create so having my fridge sparkle would be so cool.

You can diamond paint stickers.

I personally love stickers, so to diamond paint stickers is a win in my book. Imagine where you could decorate such diamond painted stickers? Yes, I hear you - everywhere!! On your notebooks, in your scrapbooking, even place a diamond painted sticker on your mobile!

You can diamond paint bookmarks.

I love bookmarks and I tend to read ten books at once. So I have lots of bookmarks to keep where I am up to in each book. Plus, I have even crocheted bookmarks for my kids reading. So diamond painting bookmarks is a great idea. A bit of sparkle added to your reading would entice anyone to read.

You can also diamond paint purses.

Wow! Yes please. I need a purse. Maybe I should diamond paint one?

Wow, I really thought you could only diamond paint kits, which I love. But the projects above are great to complete a small project and use it for display in your own home or give as a gift or if you want, sell them!

The cool thing about diamond painting is I have created some cool diamond painting printables, which you can instantly download from Etsy.

Check out my Etsy store page and look under diamond painting to see what products I have available. Please note, I am always creating more products so please favourite my store on Etsy to keep up to date.

Reshuffling my craft space for scrapbooking

When you feel uninspired change up your craft space  So I haven’t been scrapbooking as much because I have a set of drawers with stickers, washi tape and other cool stationery and then I have my tub of scrapbooking paper in my cupboard.  I was thinking about what I could do to bring my scrapbooking closer. Here’s a photo of my tub of scrapbooking paper. Look how undesirable it looks. Inside I have large paper about A4 size and A3. Then I have 12x12 inch paper. Plus an ice cream tub full of scrap paper.  It just made me feel unsatisfied and what makes me excited to work on a hobby is that I can see the resources and get excited to get started. But this set-up was not empowering me. I started brainstorming about maybe making a craft space. I found a table from IKEA with draws on both sides that I could put my scrapbooking paper and accessories in as well as my diamond painting. I also found a desk backing which is like a three level high shelving that attaches to the table....

Crocheting my first blanket and how you can to

Finding a relaxing crochet project for beginners So I decided that crocheting animals etc. is pretty stressful. Not really stressful but not relaxing. A cool end result but I wanted to find something to crochet where I didn’t have to count the stitches or focus on the different type of stitches. So I decided to crochet a simple blanket.  I just wanted to use a small amount of stitches and not count them. I didn’t want to do anything fancy. But I still wanted to crochet. I believe if I could find something to stitch that I could just relax doing it than it was worth it. I started googling a simply blanket planet using single crochet stitch. It’s simple start off with the first row with a chain stitch and then turn it over and do the rest with a single crochet stitch. Brilliant.  Why single crochet blankets don't work without a chain stitch So I started crocheting a baby blanket. It didn’t work out. The sides were uneven and the blanket was all different lengths. So I googled an...
